Description
Henry Martin Gasser: Teacher, Author and influential Artist was well received for his Urban Newark, New Jersey subject matter. His gloomy scenes of his hometown, Newark, are highly sought after. His inspiration was views from his backyard. Gasser’s mentor was a fellow Newark resident and well know artist, John R. Grabach. In this watercolor Gasser has inserted a Pennsylvania Railroad car at the forefront of the painting where railroad tracks traverse along the rear of a row of snow capped houses.
